What I've got running under the hood

My bad, I forgot to give the details on what stuff I'm running on my Desire HD

So it is true I am a coredroid addict I'm currently running their Coredroid HD 6.6 ROM on 2.36.405.8 Base
Kernel = Running 2 1.5ghz OnDemand with Leedroid's v3.1.2 that includes the new video drivers from Aurora
Radio = 12.54.60.25U_26.09.04.11_M2 - latest for the 2.36.405.8 Base
RIL = Included in Coredroid 6.6 ROM for the 12.54... Radio
Android Version = 2.3.3
Sense = 2.1 with bits and pieces from 3.0

This is a themed Rom that has been balanced with performance by different tweaks by the Coredroid Theme
That is based on the latest release version of Android

Giving you this :D

If it’s not for you always check out LINKSLOVESANDROID's Everything Desire HD Index for more info on the ROMS on offer

  1. Sexy. How hard is the rooting for HTC, is there a one click root method for it?

  3. @Jack HTC are starting to be a bit more aggressive and are now signing their bootloaders joining the likes of Sony and Motorola which means its become very difficult. For DHD, yes it was a one click method which was really awesome

  8. @ S.G is that the incredible or incredible s/2?
benefits of course are custom roms, custom kernels e.g. for overclocking your cpu and undervolting, deleting bloatware and adding themes and mods

@ Barry hey the Hero is a decent addition to the HTC Android collection. It sucks that there is no longer any support from HTC for it in terms of OTA's but I'm hoping you have made use of the efforts of xda dev community and gotten a custom rom for gingerbread 2.3.3 haha

  10. Would you reccomend me a HTC wildfire as a cheaper alternative?

    ReplyDelete
  11. @Lily yeah they are good alternative because they are smaller, cheaper and allow you to get a huge access to the android goodness. Being HTC there is a very likely chance that the wildfire can do about 80-85% of the things that my DHD can thanks to different apps and the dev community.
Also consider the Aria as another great smallish, cheaper HTC

@ S.G ahh yes the original incredible, like the hero still a very decent 'old school' HTC now haha, crazy hey quickly android devices become outdated.

  21. Android OS is great, but Honeycomb 3 does not support proxy yet :(
I'm still hoping that 3.1 will.

  22. Android is so awesome. Although I must say my Galaxy S owns the Desire HD the battery life on the DHD is absolutely appalling.

  23. @Paul don't jump the gun, DHD's battery was quite appauling... on stock rom and I was lucky to get 10-12 hours of battery life a day being very conscientious about use of my phone. Now that I'm running custom Rom's I can easily see 24-30hrs and only just hit 50%
